The project is to renovate the existing four storey Grade Listed property and to add to this a substantial basement structure below the garden at the rear.

The project has proven to be instrumental and has developed a clear interpretation of the evolving RBK&C design guidelines for basement construction in the borough.

SFA have developed an articulated cast concrete structure which allows the required planting depths of soil and still creates the opportunity for day light to penetrate into the deepest parts of the dig by the use of overhead glazed roof lights which are set at garden level.

The project is due for completion in the summer 2010.
