A limited competition entered with Aedas Architects, for an island site in a busy part of the city of London on the fringes of the Legal quarter of Lincoln’s Inn.
The upper reaches of the site section contain restricted light of light issues which have lead to a stepped building form that maximises first class office accommodation which sits above a plinth, which positively contributes to the vibrancy of the street scene, by offering retail accommodation on the ground floor.
Superstructure and circulation patterns are defined in the building form, which creates a clear hierarchy of spaces, and understanding of structural principles.
